Obermeyer Hydro, Inc., a leading international supplier of large scale water control gates requires design engineers. These positions require engineering skills and not just CAD skills - a BSME or BSCE is required, however engineering students graduating soon will be considered. Duties include detailed design of steel weldments, foundation details, including embedded air pipes, anchor bolts, re-bar and other dam spillway details as well as 3D design of control rooms including placement of air piping, control valves, compressors, air driers, motor control centers and HVAC equipment. Facility with AutoCAD required. Solid modeling and FEA capability preferred. Skills with automated/parametric design would be a plus. We use AutoCAD, Solid Works and COSMOS FEA. Success in these positions may lead to challenging analytical engineering projects or international project management opportunities.
